Our Story

The Barbershop Lounge originated in 2008 to specifically service those who seek a more modern approach to men’s grooming. The brand was created to form an establishment that united both a Men’s Salon and Barbershop under one roof.

We firmly believe that looking your absolute best is a must when representing yourself in Boston. With that said, we conveniently opened our door at 245 Newbury street in order to service local residents, the financial district, Cambridge’s biotech world, fashion forward Newbury street members, Back Bay’s elite hotel guests, and also our iconic surrounding universities. 

The craft of barbering and grooming is always on display within our workplace. Our team packs over 100 years of experience between us. For this reason, we respect each service whole heartedly. Our clients truly appreciate our attention to detail and our approach to men’s grooming. We are very much a part of our community and we look forward to growing a relationship with all of our clients.
